Time to introduce another of our epic presenters for GrowPlenty - Puna Tōnuitanga. Meet Andre Prassinos, a co-founder of BioBrew, who will present and be part of the GrowPlenty workshops.

Andre Prassinos co-founded BioBrew, with Don Pearson, in 2009. Born in Reno, Nevada and raised in Denver Colorado, Andre brings a background in management and sales to BioBrew Ltd.

Living in New Zealand with his wife Heather since 1998, Andre is now busy raising two young Kiwis, Dylan and Sierra. When time permits, the family enjoys the outdoors; tramping, mountain biking and rock climbing.a

“We love New Zealand, and we love finding a gap in the market. People want an effective probiotic and the ‘free-market’ has delivered an inferior product – and we love giving them the quality they want.” Andre says.

“Probiotics aren’t new. What’s new is the way we produce and deliver them. BioBrew produces fresh, living probiotics giving our customers world-class microbial and probiotic technology at a fair price.”

Andre is looking forward to being part of the GrowPlenty workshops.

“I’m really interested in meeting people, particularly young people who have the initiative to see something that could be done better – something that will benefit people, planet, and make some money and get off their butts to do something about it,” he says.

“You don’t need a degree to be an entrepreneur. There are plenty of people investing their time (and money) in Tertiary institutions, and not enough turning their knowledge into real-world dollars and cents products.”

- Venture Centre works to connect people on enterprising journeys - with each other and the mindset, skillset, toolsets, networks and resources they need - to build an ecosystem that delivers real-world, learn-by-doing events, activities, projects and experiences, and more... This event would not be possible without the sponsorship of Trustpower and the support of Tauranga City and Western Bay of Plenty District councils.
